It's Summer, and that means it's time for our Aquatennial Torchlight Parade and Minnesota State Fair performances! We begin on Wednesday, July 22, with what is becoming an annual Alumni Band tradition -- the Minneapolis Aquatennial CenterPoint Energy Torchlight Parade. As with past years, the parade starts at 8:30 p.m. The parade line-up is at Dunwoody College on the southwest side of downtown Minneapolis, and the parade runs up Hennepin Avenue to 5th Street. We will be staging around 7:30-8:00 p.m. We will be playing schools songs (likely just Rouser and Minnesota March). Sorry, but out exact position in the parade won't be known until that evening. We follow that up with two days of performances at Minnesota State Fair. We will be performing on opening day, "Thrify Thursday", August 27, and again on Senior & Kids Day, Monday, August 31, at the U. of M. stage on the north side of the Food Building. We've been asked to play both days at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. We will be playing school songs along with a couple of alumni band features. Please contact us at
