Seeking Hosts for High School Band Day

On Saturday, September 19, the Gophers play The University of Akron and the UMMB has our biggest halftime show of the year: High School Band, Cheer, and Dance Day! Over 1,000 high school students will join us on the field for a spectacular halftime performance.

About the event
On Saturday, September 19, the Gophers play The University of Akron and the UMMB has our biggest halftime show of the year: High School Band, Cheer, and Dance Day! Over 1,000 high school students will join us on the field for a spectacular halftime performance.
To pull this off, we need your help. We pair each visiting band with an alumni host to guide the band through the day, from rehearsal to breakfast to tailgating to the game itself. As a host, you’ll contribute to the success of an incredibly meaningful and impactful day for these high school students.
Here are the details:
High School Band Day Host Duties
Saturday, September 19, 2026
Host meeting at 5:15am, followed by rehearsal, meal, tailgating, and the game. Kick-off is 11:00am.
Wear Gopher gear and good walking shoes
